Shipping and delivery

Last updated 14 August 2026

We currently ship to the United States and Canada only. Orders are shipped within 48 hours of being placed, and delivery takes a further 5–7 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday and do not include public holidays.

DestinationProcessingDelivery estimateShipping cost
United StatesWithin 48 hours5–7 business days$8, free over $224.99
CanadaWithin 48 hours5–7 business days$12, free over $224.99

Shipping within 48 hours is a commitment. The 5–7 business day delivery window is an estimate based on how carriers normally perform, not a guarantee — severe weather, peak periods and customs inspections can add time, and we cannot speed a parcel up once it is moving.

Where we ship

We ship to addresses in the United States and Canada. We do not currently ship anywhere else, and we cannot ship to freight forwarders. If your country is not listed at checkout, we are not shipping there yet.

Tracking

You will receive a tracking link by email once your order ships. Tracking can sit still for a day or two in transit and then jump, which is normal. If tracking has not updated for seven business days, email us with your order number and we will open an inquiry with the carrier.

Orders with more than one item

Items in the same order may ship separately and arrive on different days, each with its own tracking number. If your first parcel looks incomplete, check your email for a second tracking link before contacting us.

If a parcel is lost

If a tracked parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer. You do not need to file the claim yourself.

Delivery addresses

We can change a shipping address until the order is processed. After that you will need to use the carrier's redirect service. Please check your address at checkout — an incorrect address is the most common cause of a lost order, and we cannot refund orders delivered to an address you supplied incorrectly.

Customs, duties and import taxes

Orders shipped to Canada may be subject to import duties, GST or HST and a customs brokerage fee charged on delivery by the carrier. These are set by the Canada Border Services Agency, are not included in our prices or shipping charges, and are your responsibility. We declare all parcels at their actual value and cannot mark orders as gifts. If a parcel is refused at customs and returned to us, we will refund the order less shipping costs.

Sales tax

Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout. We collect Florida sales tax on orders shipped to Florida addresses, and tax for other states where we are required to do so.

Returns and refunds

Last updated 14 August 2026

We accept returns for 30 days from the date of delivery. You do not need to give a reason. Items must be unused, in their original condition and with any tags or packaging still attached — tried on at home is fine, carried on a trip is not.

How to start a return

  • Email customerservice@shortcarry.com with your order number and which item you are returning. Please contact us before sending anything back.
  • We will reply with return instructions and the correct return address, normally within one business day.
  • Ship the item back using a tracked service and keep your receipt until the refund is issued.

Who pays return shipping

If you are returning an item because you changed your mind, you are responsible for return shipping. If the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we cover it — see damaged or wrong items.

Original shipping charges are refunded when you return a complete order. They are not refunded if you keep part of the order.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the returned item, normally within five business days of it arriving. We will email you when the refund is processed. Your bank or card issuer may take an additional two to ten business days to post it to your account.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. Return the original item for a refund and place a new order — this is faster than holding your funds while a parcel is in transit.

Items we cannot accept

  • Items that have been used, soiled, altered or damaged after delivery.
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • Items returned without contacting us first.
  • Gift cards.

Order cancellations

You may cancel an order at no cost any time before it ships. Email us as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has shipped it must be handled as a return.

Damaged or wrong items

Last updated 14 August 2026

If your order arrives damaged, defective or is not the item you ordered, we will make it right at no cost to you.

What to do

  • Email customerservice@shortcarry.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging.
  • We will send a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer, and cover any return shipping.
  • In some cases we will not need the item returned. We will tell you before you go to the post office.

Defects that appear later

If a manufacturing defect appears in normal use after that period — a zipper that splits, stitching that fails, hardware that breaks — email us with photographs and your order number. We will assess it and tell you honestly whether we consider it a defect or ordinary wear, and what we can do about it.

What is not a defect

Leather darkening, softening and developing a patina with use, minor surface scratches, and creasing from packing are normal characteristics of the material. Damage caused by accident, misuse, overloading, improper storage or repairs performed by a third party is not covered.

Looking after your bag

Last updated 14 August 2026

General guidance. If your item came with its own care instructions, follow those first.

Leather

Wipe with a dry cloth when dusty. Condition once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream. If it gets soaked, stuff it with paper and let it dry away from radiators and direct sunlight — heat is what cracks leather, not water.

Expect leather to darken where your hand and back sit and to pick up small scratches early on. That is the material behaving normally.

Nylon and coated fabrics

Sponge with cold water and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron a coated surface. A spray-on water repellent once a year helps if the bag lives outdoors.

Zippers and hardware

A stiff zipper usually needs cleaning rather than replacing. Run a dry toothbrush along the teeth to clear grit, then rub a wax pencil or candle stub along them. Do not oil a zipper — oil holds dust and makes it worse.

Terms and conditions

Effective 14 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of shortcarry.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from it. The Site is operated by Bradentucky Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Short Carry", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. By ordering you represent that you meet this requirement and that the payment information you provide is yours and is accurate.

2. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. We accept your offer when we send you a shipping confirmation email, and a contract is formed at that point — not when you submit payment or receive an order acknowledgement.

We may refuse or cancel any order, in whole or in part, at our discretion. Reasons include items being unavailable, errors in pricing or product information, suspected fraud, orders that appear placed for resale, and orders we cannot ship to your address. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.

3. Pricing and errors

All prices are shown in United States dollars and exclude shipping, sales tax and any import duties, which are calculated or disclosed separately. We may change prices at any time; the price that applies to your order is the one displayed when you placed it.

The Site may occasionally contain errors in pricing, descriptions or availability. We reserve the right to correct such errors and to cancel any order placed on incorrect information, even after an order acknowledgement has been sent. Where a price is obviously incorrect, we are not obliged to honor it, and we will contact you before taking any action.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at the time you place your order and is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the total shown at checkout, including shipping and tax.

5. Shipping, title and risk of loss

Shipping timeframes, costs and customs responsibilities are set out in our shipping policy, which forms part of these Terms. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the address you provided. Where a carrier leaves a parcel with a neighbor or in a safe location at your instruction, that constitutes delivery.

6. Returns

Our returns policy forms part of these Terms and sets out your rights to return an item, the condition it must be in, and how refunds are issued.

7. Product descriptions and images

We describe our products as accurately as we can using information supplied to us. Photography is representative rather than exact: colors vary between screens, and hardware finishes, linings and stitching may differ slightly between production batches. Measurements are approximate and may vary. Where an item materially differs from its description, it is covered under damaged or wrong items.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to break any law, to infringe anyone's rights, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account, to introduce malicious code, to scrape or harvest data by automated means, or to interfere with the operation of the Site.

9. Intellectual property

The Short Carry name, logo, site design, text and photography are owned by or licensed to Bradentucky Group LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission. You are welcome to photograph and write about products you purchase.

10. Submissions

If you send us a review, photograph, suggestion or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display and reproduce it in connection with our business, and you confirm the content is yours to give and does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove any submission at our discretion.

11. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content or practices, and their inclusion is not an endorsement.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Except where expressly stated and except for warranties that cannot be excluded by law, the Site and everything on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and other applicable consumer protection laws.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bradentucky Group LLC and its members, officers and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or any product purchased from it, whether based in contract, tort or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bradentucky Group LLC and its members, officers and employees from any claim, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

15. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Manatee County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection laws grant you additional rights, nothing here removes those rights.

16. Resolving a dispute

Before starting any formal proceeding, please email customerservice@shortcarry.com describing the problem and what you would like us to do. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Most issues are settled this way.

17. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our shipping, returns and privacy policies, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. The effective date above shows when this version was posted.

Privacy policy

Effective 14 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Bradentucky Group LLC collects through shortcarry.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. We keep what we need to get an order to you and to support it afterwards, and nothing else.

1. Information you give us

  • Order information: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if provided, and the items you purchased.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits and card type. We never receive or store your full card number or security code.
  • Correspondence: the content of emails and contact form submissions, kept with your order history.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address if you choose to subscribe to product announcements.

2. Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site we collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your shopping cart and checkout working, and analytics cookies to understand which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but strictly necessary cookies are required for checkout to function. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell your browsing behavior.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to those signals.

4. How we use your information

  • To process, fulfill and deliver your order and to send order confirmations and tracking.
  • To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and damaged item claims.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and to secure the Site.
  • To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
  • To send marketing email, only if you subscribed, and only until you unsubscribe.
  • To understand which pages of the Site are useful so we can improve it.

5. How we share your information

We share personal information only as needed to run the business:

  • Fulfillment and supply partners, who receive your name, shipping address and order contents in order to pick, pack and dispatch your order.
  • Shipping carriers, who receive your name, address, phone number and email for delivery and tracking.
  • Our payment processor, which receives your payment and billing details directly.
  • Service providers for website hosting, email delivery and analytics, limited to what each needs to perform its function.
  • Legal and safety, where we are required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others.
  • Business transfers, if the business is sold or reorganized, in which case your information may transfer as part of the transaction.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States and some of our fulfillment and service partners are located outside it. If you order from Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and in the countries where our partners operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own. By placing an order you consent to that transfer.

7. How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are retained for seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Correspondence is retained for three years. Marketing subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. After those periods information is deleted or anonymized.

8. Security

The Site uses TLS encryption, and payment details go directly to our processor rather than through our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not do either of these.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

These rights are granted by laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states. Whether a particular law applies to us depends on thresholds in that law, but we will honor these requests from any customer regardless.

If you are in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to challenge its accuracy, and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise any of these rights, email customerservice@shortcarry.com with your request and the email address used on your order. We will respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity before acting, which we do by confirming details of an order you placed. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority.

11. Marketing email

Marketing email is sent only to people who subscribed. Every message includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address, and we process opt-outs within ten business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional email about an order you have placed.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when this version was posted. Material changes will be announced on this page.
